The Reading Half Marathon is approaching fast! MOTI is putting on three runners workshops to prepare you for the big day.
We’ve has put together a team of experts to cover every subject you need for a half marathon race. This includes The MOTI team, Joanna Bottiglieri, The Drummond Clinic, Ellie Barnes, Jamie Shillam and Berkshire Physio.
The three themed sessions will each have a group practical session followed by a theory session. We’ll cover running technique, approaches to training, training plans, recovery, injury prevention advice, nutrition, strengthening/conditioning, flexibility, equipment selection, gait analysis and race prep for the big day.
The workshops are suitable for everyone, from total novices through to those more experienced. You’ll run away with the information and support you’ll need to have a fun and successful race.
During each workshop, there will be an open Q&A session, giving you a chance to talk through how your training is going, and to get any advice on any challenges you may have.
The course dates and session themes are:
Sunday 29 Jan, 10am – 1pm
The Fundamentals of Half Marathon Training - including a group technique session.
Sunday 19 Feb, 10am – 1pm
Strategies for achieving your half marathon goal - including a interval, speed and hill work Session
Sunday 11 March, 10am - 1pm
Tapering & Race Day Preparation - including a group endurance run
Cost of the course is £60 which includes:
